Please find below information relating to the closure of Douglas Promenade for Douglas Carnival.
The full length of the Promenade will be closed from 6.30pm and will not be accessible to vehicles (other than those participating) for the duration of the closure. The Promenade will reopen no later than 9.30pm, with the exception of Loch Promenade which will reopen no later than 10pm. We will endeavour to reduce any inconvenience and open the roads as soon as is safe to do so. Sea Cliff Road and King Edward Road will also be closed although for a lesser amount of time. Roads will be closed by the Council’s Electrical Services Team supported by marshals. Please listen to any instructions given by marshals. A copy of the signed order showing all road closures can be found here.

There will also be areas where parking will be suspended for the Hospice Colour me Rainbow run and also parking the full length of Loch Promenade has been suspended. Drawings showing the approximate areas can be found here. The Bottleneck Car Park will be closed from 8pm on Friday 17th July until midday on Sunday 19th July for the After Party.
If you plan on visiting the Carnival, parking is available for FREE in Chester Street Car Park and Shaw’s Brow Car Park from midday until midnight on Saturday 18th July.
